Haply
is a
Logo
interpreter aimed for small children. The language is simple yet
powerful, and has a very appealing concept for small kids.
In Logo, you control a small virtual turtle living in the screen, who
has many disguises and pens of several colors. The turtle uses her pens
to draw what you tell her to draw. She can also learn to draw several
things thus extendig her dictionary and allowing the teaching of many
programming skills including procedure creation and recursion.
The idea of haply is to make it as user friendly as possible while
sticking as much as possible to the original Logo specification. It
also includes the support for simultaneous turtles, editable disguises
and sound creation.
Haply is based on
Logic,
and the language specification can be viewed very easily.
Screenshots and more to come.
