About Me

So far my life has been filled with various adventures, but at heart I have always been a student. Currently, I am enjoying my return to student life at the University of Tennessee in the Department of Computer Science.

I was launched into the military world from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. Upon graduation and completion of flight school, I was designated a Naval Aviator and flew P3-C Orions all over the world for about 4 years. I completed my active service by returning to the Academy as staff. My first adventure in the "real world" involved managing the business operations of a large gymnastics school. Following that, I spent about 2.5 years starting and supervising a highly-automated manufacturing facility for an international automotive company in East Tennessee.

I am still involved with the Navy and have a great deal of practical business experience. My passion since the birth of the personal computer, however, has been computer science. My latest adventure as a student has been nothing short of outstanding.

CS311 Information

I am assisting with Dr. Poore's CS311 Discrete Mathematics class during the fall 2007 semester. There will be an extra study session available in Claxton 211, time TBA.

Music

I enjoy all kinds of music. If you like diversity, try Radio Paradise. No comercials, great music, nice people. Highly recommended.

“Men make history, and not the other way around. In periods where there is no leadership, society stands still. Progress occurs when courageous, skillful leaders seize the opportunity to change things for the better.”
