Hotel Information

A block of 50 and 25 rooms for workshop attendees are being held for Saturday (October 21) and Sunday (October 22), respectively, at The Brownestone Hotel, 1707 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh, NC 27605-1696.

Reservations

Attendees should reserve their rooms at The Brownestone Hotel via phone (919) 828-0811 or fax (919) 828-2788 no later than Friday, October 6. The hotel will allow guests to keep their rooms for additional nights (October 23-25) if they wish to attend the Seventh SIAM Conference on Applied Linear Algebra (LAOO). The confirmed hotel room rate is $79.00 and attendees should specify the block of rooms committed to CIR00 in order to secure this rate.

Van Shuttles

The Brownestone Hotel will provide shuttle service between the hotel and the McKimmon Center at the following times on Sunday, October 22:

Attendees should inform the hotel reservationist which shuttle they will likely take on Sunday morning (October 22) when they register their room.

For airport pickup and return, attendees can call the hotel upon arrival (use cabstand outside Baggage Claim) and the hotel will send a van to pick you up. It takes approximately 20 minutes for the hotel van to get to RDU airport (without traffic delays).

The Brownestone Hotel

The Brownestone Hotel is adjacent to the North Carolina State University campus and only five minutes from the downtown Raleigh business center and state government complex. The hotel is 15 minutes from RDU Airport, and the Cameron Village Shopping Center, considered Raleigh's finest, is only 2 blocks from the hotel.
