The Computer Science Department offices are located in the
new Claxton Complex. The Claxton Complex is located at the intersection of
Volunteer and Andy Holt Boulevards. See the map below or visit the
University of Tennessee Map Server.

Location of Claxton Complex

Directions
From Tyson-McGhee Airport: Take Alcoa Highway (US 129) north to the
University Drive exit. Turn right at the bottom of the ramp onto University
Drive. Proceed to the intersection of University Drive and Kingston Pike /
Cumberland Avenue (at traffic light). Turn right onto Cumberland Avenue and
proceed to Volunteer Boulevard (at traffic light). Turn right. Claxton
Complex is located on the left just past the Hodges Library and the
intersection with Andy Holt.
Temporary Parking: For temporary parking, do not turn on Volunteer
Boulevard. Proceed down Cumberland Avenue past the Volunteer Boulevard
intersection to the next traffic light and turn right onto James Agee /
Philip Fulmer Way. There is a parking garage on the right just past the
University Center and prior to the ATM machines. Bring your parking stub to
the department office.
Construction: There is construction on Alcoa Highway and in most parts of
campus. Please call before you come to be informed of any problems. 
Claxton Access Information and Maps
Our plan is to begin using the magnetic locks in Claxton starting Monday,
April 9. This may cause some confusion initially, so please be patient until
we can get the bugs worked out. The procedure for particular entrances is
shown below. If you are still confused, please come by Room 203 and look at
the layout.
1st floor - 3 exterior doors. Unlocked from 7:30-5:30
p.m.

1.1 - located at the stairwell on the NE side of
the building behind the Crux Lab.
1.2 - located between the stairwell and the research
analysis room on the SE corner of the bldg.
1.3 - located on the SE corner by the stairwell
across from the restrooms. This door
doesn't have a card reader and is no access
after hours.
2nd floor - 5 total exterior doors grouped with different
lock times. Map of this floor
Three exterior doors. Unlocked from 7:30-5:30 p.m.
2.1 - located on the north side by the stairwell.
On the side across from the UT Library. No card
reader access after hours.
2.2 - located at the patio entrance by the commons
on the west side of the bldg. No card reader
access after hours.
2.3 - door between Claxton Complex and Claxton Addition
located on the south side.
One exterior door. Unlocked from 8:00-5:00 p.m.
2.4 - Main entrance door to suite 203, CS Dept.
One exterior door. Main bldg. entrance on the north side.
2.5 - Across from the UT Library. Hours vary
because this is the door students should use to access our labs.
The schedule for this door will vary according to the
lab
schedules which can be found on our website.
Mon-Thurs - unlocked from 7:30 - midnite
Friday - unlocked from 7:30-10:00 p.m.
Saturday - unlocked from 11:45-4:00 p.m.
Sunday - unlocked from 11:45 - midnite
3rd floor - 2 exterior doors. Unlocked from 7:30-5:30
p.m.
