Course LogisticsWhen and Where:The class meets in Claxton 205 (smaller room) from 8:10 to 9:25am on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Be sure to set your alarm clocks every night to avoid missing class (for those of you who are not familiar with that part of the morning).Instructor:Michael W. Berry will be teaching this course as a sequel to the CS 494/594 course in Information Processing & Management taught Fall Semester 2000. The Instructor's office hours have been tentatively set to be 1:00-2:00pm on Thursday afternoon (these are subject to change). Teaching Assistant:John Eblen will be the teaching assistant for CS494 this semester. His office hours will be 12:00-1:00pm on Wednesdays in Claxton 121. Textbook:We will continue with one of textbooks we used in CS 494/594 from Fall 2000, i.e., Modern Information Retrieval by R. Baeza-Yates and B. Ribeiro-Neto (Addison-Wesley, 1999).
