Dr. Berry will be the guest of Greg Niland aka GoodROI on his Good Karma Show at WebmasterRadio.fm. The live (on-the-web) interview on the topic of Latent Semantic Indexing will be at 4:00pm on Thursday, January 12, 2006. A downloadable podcast of the interview will also be available.

Prof. Shih-Lung Shaw from the Department of Geography, UTK will be a guest lecturer on the topic of Spatio-Temporal Clustering on Tuesday, January 24. All students are required to write one paragraph summarizing the important issues regarding this context of clustering. This summary is due at the beginning of class on Thursday, Jan 26.

Prof. Kenneth Kahn of the Department of Marketing & Logistics will be our guest during lecture on Tuesday, Feb 21. Prof. Kahn will discuss effective uses of data mining in customer segmentation and other marketing techniques.

Mr. Charles Jarrett and Mr. David Clothier from Pilot Travel Centers LLC will be visiting class on Thursday, March 30.

Field trip to PTC Support Center/Data Center is scheduled for May 1 (Reading Day). Van(s) would depart from the parking lot behind Claxton Complex (next to construction trailers) at 9:00am. Van(s) would return to Claxton at 1:00pm. Lunch provided by PTC. Click here for directions via car.

The Final Exam Session is scheduled for Tuesday, May 9 at 10:15am

Dr. Berry will be the guest on Phoenix's KFNX TechTalk program aired on Sunday, April 16 at 6:00pm (the show will be pre-recorded on Friday, April 14). Dr. Berry will be discussing topics such as Latent Semantic Indexing and Email Surveillance. TechTalk is hosted by Thomas A. D-Auria, Chairman and CEO of Information Methods Incorporated (IMI) in Valhalla, New York.
