Please notice that timely graduation requires that you take Mathematics 141, Calculus I, the first semester of your first year since the physics courses are calculus-based. If necessary, go to summer school to take pre-calculus.
Important: Click here to see the four-year plan that includes Math 130, pre-calculus.
Plan to take Mathematics 300 the first semester of the second year. This will allow you to take Computer Science 311 the next semester.

The College of Engineering offers a minor in computer science to those
undergraduate students whose academic history provides the prerequisites
for the courses required by the minor. The minor requires the completion
of a minimum of 24 credits in computer science courses. Some of the
courses used in the minor may also satisfy requirements for the student's
major. A grade of C or better is required in all computer science courses
applied to the minor. The last 12 hours must be taken at the University of
Tennessee, Knoxville. The minor is open to all university students except
computer engineering majors.
Students may enroll in the minor program by completing a form at the
Computer Science office, 203 Claxton Complex. A copy of the completed
enrollment form and information on the minor requirements will be
forwarded to the student's home department advisor.
