At the department's lunch on Tuesday, December 3 closing the fall
semester, Department Head, Bob Ward awarded the 2002 Fall Kimberly-Clark
Scholarship to Dustin Parr. Dusty's extracurricular activities included:
a Resident Assistant this past summer for the Governor's School for the
Sciences (top high school students across the state converge for an intense
period of focused education), an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for
our CS140 course for the past two semesters, and a member of the Dean's
Student Advisory Council for the College of Arts & Sciences. Even with
all these extra activities, he has maintained a 4.0 GPA.

Dusty is an outstanding student and person and a deserving winner of the
award.
