Dr. Jesse Poore Awarded "2002 Harlan D. Mills" Award Dr. Poore was awarded the IEEE Computer Society "2002 Harlan D. Mills" award. The citation of the award is as follows: "For sustained and meaningful contributions to the field of software engineering in research policy, and industrial application" This award, which consists of a plaque and $3,000 honorarium, recognizes researchers and practioners who have demonstrated long standing, sustained, and meaningful contributions to the theory and practice of the information sciences, focusing on contributions to the practice of software engineering through the application of sound theory. The winner should be generally recognized in the software engineering community for achieving the results stated and for encouraging and teaching others to do the same. Dr. Poore will receive the the award during the International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE) in Orlando, Florida, 19-25 May 2002.
