• Research Assistant with Systems Genetics Group, ORNL from August 2008 - July 2009. (Resulting publication).
• Created a video tutorial for the Ontological Discovery Environment (ODE) tool.
• Received a year-long independent grant for malaria math modeling research from Committee on the Status of Women in Computing Research through the Multidisciplinary Research Opportunities for Women (MRO-W) program. (Research website and resulting undergraduate thesis).

Short Biography

I grew up in Nigeria but came to the United States in 2004 for my undergradute and graduate studies. My undergaduate institution was Marymount University, and while there, I was a mathematics and biology double major. As part of my extracurricular activities, I was also a tour guide, member of the Marymoun Honors Program, and a tutor for Math, Science and Writing at the Learning Resource Center tutor (Marymount) for four years. Presently, I am pursing a Ph.D. in computer science with an emphasis in computational biology.
