Missed Tests:
Only for an emergency or serious sickness will a student be allowed to make up a missed test. If you must miss a test for an emergency, you must provide Dr. Straight a written explanation as soon as possible after the missed test. To replace a missed test grade, we may require a make-up exam or may replace the missed grade with some combination of other grades

Attendance:
Attendance is required in order to succeed in this class. We will take attendance at labs and sometimes during lecture. This will count towards 15% of your grade

Classroom Etiquette:
We welcome classroom participation, but request that you turn off cell phones before lecture and please do not disturb the class with talking during lecture.

Academic Dishonesty:
We take cheating very seriously. Although you are allowed to discuss the assignments with other students, the work you turn in must be your own. That means your programs and assignment solutions should not be identical, or nearly identical, to those of other students (unless there is no other solution). For the first instance of cheating, the students will receive a warning and a 0 on that assignment or lab. If those students are found cheating again, they will receive an F in the class. If you cannot do the work without excessive help from another student, please see the TA's or the instructor for help
