Synopsis:
Bunny Watson (Hepburn) runs the reference and research department for a television network. She quickly answers questions on any subject. Richard Sumner (Tracy) is an efficiency expert who covertly plans the installation of an electronic brain to take over some of the routine work. A battle of the wits ensues once Bunny and her coworkers discover Richard's intentions. This film serves as a foreshadowing to the current lay-offs happening at companies like AT&T where human employees, such as switchboard operators, are becoming obsolete.
