I enjoy using the Linux operating system and used
XTrkCAD to design this layout.
XTrkCAD is available for Linux and Windows.
I have found several model railroad organizations to be benefitial
to my goals. Those organizations include the
Layout Design SIG,
the operations SIG, the
Northern Pacific Railway Historical Association and the
National Model Railroad
Association.
