July 5, 2000 - After many months of remodeling and room preparation, the home for the railroad was ready. Layout construction started in mid-June, 2000.

July 27, 2000 - After a few weeks of contstruction the lowest level of the benchwork is complete. The hidden/staging track will be placed directly on this level and the visible track will be placed roughly 12 inches higher.
