The plans are provided in two formats. The Graphics Interchange Format
(GIF) image is quick and simple to view, but lacks detail. The Portable
Document Format (PDF) images provide good detail. A free PDF
viewer is available from
Adobe.
This layout is designed to fill a room roughly 12' x 37'. It
is a linear, point-to-point, walk-around design with an emphasis
on industrial switching. The area on the right-hand side of the
plan is South Arbor. There is a small yard in this area and 9
industries. The area along the peninsula is southern edge of
Aberdeen. There are 5 industries and the primary yard in this area.

Off-layout staging is provided on both the west and east ends
of the layout via lower-level staging yards. The staging tracks
are reached via a gradual grade on the east end and a 3% grade on
the west end. The westbount grade is larger than I would like, but
all trains directed to west staging will be short so the excessive
grade should not be a problem.
