This page contains information about a few musical artists that I like. To me, the lyrics are more important than the music itself . I'm finding more and more that most artists don't really sing songs with decent lyrics. And for me, the best lyrics are those that point me toward God.

So why don't you check out some of these artists? Their web sites will tell you what they're all about and if you like them, check out their music! There just may be a blessing or a message there that could lift your spirits today!

This is Rebecca St. James. I have followed her music for many years now. She is a very sincere person from the times I've seen her in concert and in interviews and really down-to-earth. Her music has also recently been focused on worship, but her albums have a wide range, most have an alternative feel to them. Her web site has lots of material and can be found at rsjames.com
ZOEgirl is a trio of three young women who have great voices and generally perform fast, upbeat songs with a pop or dance type of beat. But their songs have great lyrics as well. I do not know a great deal about this band, but I really enjoy their fresh, fun, and yet meaningful music. They have a nice web site at zoegirlonline.com
Pictured above is Michael W. Smith. This artist has had lots of success as a Christian musician and also on popular radio stations. Recently he has released several worship albums and even written some books. I really admire him for his commitment to family and God and for the simple honesty in his music. Steven Curtis Chapman has released many songs over the years but seems to get better with each album. Its really hard to describe his music, but it is mostly driven be nice guitar work and simple, straightforward lyrics. He has recently begun a ministry encouraging adoption and has adopted several children himself. For more info, go to his web site at stevencurtischapman.com
