Let me out...
There is light at the end of the tunnel!
OK about me...Graham.
I am currently working with Jack Dongarra here at the University of
Tennessee, Knoxville. I was previously a researcher at the University of
Reading in England, hense the time joke on my home page.
I am a Brit, and always shall be.
"British by birth, English by the grace of God".
In detail. I was born (in a rush) 27th August 1970 at Buckland Hospital
in Dover, Kent.
My high school education was at Archers Court Secondary Modern.
I attended Canterbury College of Science and Technology for two years.
Then finially I went to the University of Reading for a total of just over
six years.
From September 2001 I worked a year at the
High Performance Computing Center
(HLRS) Stuttgart Germany.
In my life (so far) I have:
Raced sailing boats.
Climbed mountains (that should read "got out of bed too early and
walked/climbed up iced covered rocks when I should have stayed in bed").
Raced motor bikes
Raced cycles. (Guess? Only up hills! Yes in a country with lots of hills
we ride to the bottom of a hill and from a standing start race up 'em....).
Target Shooting.
Rally Raced. (Timed stages were done in my modified Ford Escort MkII
1.3GL that was really a 1.6GT. Fun and puzzle rallies were done with Paul
Minchinton in his much less bumpy Citron BX19GT).
Mechanics. (I learnt mainly on various Ford models with my father. Usually
at the side of the road in the freezing cold, before we finially built
the garage.
