CS Library Services

The reading room is open 24 hours a day, to anyone who has a key. Books, videos, journals, technical reports, conference proceedings theses and dissertations are available for borrowing. As there is no budget, collections are based on donations.

Loans are for one semester maximum and are based on an honor system. Please return the material you borrow at the end of each term. The librarian is available 10 hours a week to assist faculty, staff and students from the Computer Science Department with searches and other tasks. In particular:

  • Advising on library services for faculty and graduate students.
  • Assisting with literature searches in subject databases, the Hodges Library catalog, and the Web.
  • Advising on document delivery options. (Many items can now be downloaded or delivered electronically by direct request. The librarian can often assist in determining the exact site/service you will need to use.)
  • Requesting books and journals pertaining to current research and teaching interests for the Hodges Library collection.
  • Facilitating information searches in any other way.
