- Herne's Building Guides
this has a building guide on how to build rooms, objects, mobiles, reset lists and
mob/room/obj progs.
- SMAUG/SmaugWiz
Resource Center This has lots of areas that are free for download and links to other
building resources.
- ORB this is a offline area builder
for SMAUG areas, and can read in MERC and ROM areas and convert them to SMAUG format. It
can renumber a area to a new vnum as well. Works on Windows 9x and Windows NT.
- Zylara's Page this page
has a Building guide for Intro, Room/Mob/Object Building and Program and Reset Making are
coming soon.
- Area Editor is a client for building areas with a GUI on windows.
- Gabriel's Goodies - This has The Tomb of Damara for download.
Mud resources
- SMAUG this is SMAUG main webpage, current
version is SMAUG 1.4a.
- Nick Gammon's site has tips on compiling SMAUG on a windows box.
- Smaug Wizard this is a code base
that is derived from Smaug and ported to C++ to run on Windows NT and Win 9x. Current
Version is 2.01
- Mac OS MUD Zone has links to SMAUG that has been ported to the Mac OS, but I don't know how current the version of smaug is.
Snippets
- Altair's Snippets this page has
a snippet for Locker Code and a Stat Roller
- Call To Arms Snippets
this page has some small snippets, mainly with skills/spells and a few others.
- Desden's Snippets
this page has a few snippets on it, mostly info type snippets like a month prog,
formatting for numbers, etc...
- Dark Legacy Snippets only three snippets here, but some I have seen other places.
- Gangien's Snippets this
page has mostly admin type snippets, such as imm where, logging, etc.. but it also has a
few misc snippets for channels, new score, etc...
- Gareth's Snippets
this page currently has 3 snippets, Questpoints buy, night-time room descriptions and a
delete command for players.
- LrdElder's Snippets
this page has quite a few snippets on it, lockers, wedding, arena, and many other misc
snippets.
- Rafermand's Snippets
this page has about 10 snippets, including a furniture snippet, and a remort snippet. Most
of the other snippets are how things look, and admin type snippets such as pretitle for
players, request for new helpfiles, etc...
- Samson's Snippets has 25+ snippets
mostly ports but some new snippets. Administration, building, arena, skills and much more. A good site to start your search for a snippet. Can't link directly click on Snippets button to get to the Snippets.
- Shadroth's Snippets
this page has snippets to fix some reset bugs in SMAUG and to add some funcunality, as
well as a rare items snippet.
- SMAUG/SmaugWiz
Resource Center currently has a set command (Leader can set #1 and #2 in a clan),
admin commands like classes, races, etc..., new backstab command, billion vnum and a few
other snippets. This site also has areas, races, classes, links to clients and much more.
- Crimson Blade Snippets currently has about 11 snippets, such as a liquid system that allows liquids to be created online, Zecho for an area echo and more.
- Orion Elder's Snippets at the Wiz Resource Archive - Has about 15 various snippets there, good snippets, good site.
- Auric Mud Snippets - has a few snippets and functions, which really are snippets too ;)
- Lost Prophecy Snippets - nice site that has 20+ snippets, some that I haven't seen done anywhere else.
- Gabriel's Goodies - this site has a dozen or so snippets, the latest put on in September.
- Evernight snippets - around a dozen or so.
- Cronel's Snippets - quite a few snippets on his page including a Wilderness snippet

Clients
- Tintin++ is
a text based mud client that runs on unix platforms and apparently there are some tintin
windows versions as well, it has triggers, aliases, logging abilities and more.
- Zugg's MUD Client this is a
Windows client, that is shareware (~$25) or you can download old versions and use them for
free. Current version has Auto Mapping, Database, Chat Module, Mud sound Protocol,
multiplaying support, ANSI support, and much more.
- Wintin- TinTin++ for Windows, I haven't used it but it is suppose to be nice.
- Mud Client List is kept up by Rafemand is very nice, has what they support, OS's, ANSI,etc... Over 50 Clients are listed.
