The code you will obtain is written in C, C++, and UIL(motif). It
was specifically designed to execute on a SunSPARCstation running
either the SunOS 4.1.3 or Solaris 5.5.1 operating system. For the
compilation of C and C++ source code, both the
GNU compilers gcc and g++ are used. Some knowledge of
UNIX and GRASS is required for installation and testing.
GRASS Version 4.1 must be present on your machine in order to test LUCAS.
The LUCAS software provided will only simulate land cover

any relevant information for other geographical locations.
This software is not guaranteed to work on all computing
platforms. Therefore, the developers are not responsible
for any results obtained or not obtained from your LUCAS
