MFACT: A Multifrontal Sparse Direct Solver

MFACT is suitable for solving sparse linear systems when the matrix is
symmetric positive definite. This is a first release. New versions will have
LAPACK style library calls and a MATLAB interface. Later versions will
also include other factorizations and extensions for indefinite systems.
