• First, count the High Card Points in your hand:
  • Ace: 4 points
  • King: 3 points
  • Queen: 2 points
  • Jack: 1 point

• Everyone, starting with the dealer, announces his/her points.

• The pair with the highest number of points declares.

• The player with the highest number of points of the pair is declarer.

• The other player is dummy, and faces his cards.

• Declarer names a contract (trump suit & partscore/game), LHO leads, and the hand is played.
