English Translations of The Thirukkural

Over the last two centuries, numerous authors have been drawn to translating the Thirukkural into English. Some of the more illustrious names among them are Francis White Ellis (first English translation), G. U. Pope, W. H. Drew, John Lazarus, H. A. Popley, C. Rajagopalachari, and Suddhananda Bharati.
