Hazakar

Forged: Vailance the Valiant
Enchanted: the conjurer Uldark
Appearance: Hazakar is a longsword composed of an adamantite/mithril alloy; the flat of the blade is a rich silver color, while the edge has a black hue. The crosspiece is encrusted with several sapphires, and the handle is wrapped in fine leather.

Notes: The half-elf conjurer Uldark enchanted this fine blade for his apprentice Aaron Vogelsong (a conjurer/fighter) for use in his quest to retrieve a powerful artifact from an evil invoker. Aaron disappeared during the quest, and has not been seen since. However, Hazakar was not lost, as it magically appeared in the presence of Aaron's younger brother Erik, who now wields the blade.

Airakkar

Appearance: Airakkar is a longsword made of an adamantite/mithril alloy; the handle is wrapped in fine brown leather, and the crosspiece is in the shape of two symmetrical lightning bolts. At the end of the handle (in place of the pommel) is set a large moonstone; four other gems adorn the crosspiece as follows: on one side is a diamond and a sapphire; on the reverse side is set a ruby and emerald.

Special Abilities:
the four gems set into the crosspiece are actually "buttons." If pressed firmly, they will recess slightly into the crosspiece; when pressed, each gem has a special function as follows:
diamond: the sword discharges a lightning bolt; the damage inflicted by this bolt is 1d6 per two levels of the wielder, up to a maximum of 10d6. This function is usable once per day; the moonstone in the handle will glow softly as long as the bolt has not been used; once discharged, the glow will fade until 24 hours have passed when it once again will glow.
sapphire: causes the blade to become electrically charged (the wielder is insulated from any ill affects); the blade will glow with blue bolts similar to what is dicharged from a tesla coil. If the blade scores a hit in melee, an additional 1d8 points of damage will be inflicted on the target; a save vs. spell reduces this additional damage by one half, but targets in metal armor suffer a -4 to this save. The sword will remain charged for 1-6 rounds; this function is usable three times per day.
ruby: creates an anti-magic shell around the wielder as per the spell. This function is usable once per day.
emerald: this allows the wielder to blink; this blinking is as per the spell, except the destination of the blink may be chosen (the facing is still random). This function is usable 6 times per day.

Notes: This blade was created in the distant past by the fighter/mage Airestor for his son Airak, who wielded the blade for nearly 50 years. The sword was lost when Airak was killed while adventuring; its present where- abouts are unknown.
