Pole Arms

Balok

Forged: Unknown
Enchanted: Unknown
Appearance: Balok is a two foot flail with three chains of adamantite, each bearing a ball. The handle is jet black. The balls have retractable spikes which are magically extended when the base of the handle is turned clockwise. Each of these balls are also constructed of adamantite, as are the spikes.
Type: Flail +5
Special Abilities: Balok is a +5 flail, which will automatically knock an opponent out on a roll of 15 or higher.

As mentioned earlier, the spikes on the flail are retractable. When retracted, the flail only inflicts 2d6 damage. When the spikes are extended, the flail inflicts 4d6 upon impact.

When swung in a circle over the wielder's head, the spheres begin to collect energy. After two segments of such action, the spheres will release and streak towards the target. Each sphere has a different effect. The first sphere inflicts fire/heat damage, inflicting 6d6 damage. The second sphere is one of lightning, inflicting 6d6 electrical damage. The third and final sphere is one of frost, inflicting 6d6 frost damage. The spheres will alter their attack forms in order to attack objects resistant to its attack form, i.e., the heat and cold spheres will both transform intro lightning balls in order to attack a grey ooze, and will all turn into frost spheres against a fire elemental, will remain as is against humans, etc. The spheres can also be used to attack separate targets.

Each round the wielder is in combat, the spheres will continue to circle the target, and the wielder may roll to hit with each sphere.
In addition, the wielder may attack another target with the handle section; it acts as a +2 club.
